Service
Evan Shelline enlisted in the U.S. Navy after September 11, 2001. He went through BUD/S, became a Navy SEAL, and served for about a decade on deployments around the world. He earned combat decorations during that service.
After the Navy
After leaving the Navy, Evan led maritime security and counter-piracy operations. He directed more than 60 vessel protection operations, and none of them had a security incident.
That work depends on careful planning, clear roles, and people who do the small things right every time. Evan has more than 20 years of operational leadership behind him, and it is the standard he built VETTED around.
Building VETTED
Evan founded VETTED to serve veterans in two ways. The company provides VA-authorized in-home care for veterans across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties, and it competes for federal contracts as a service-disabled veteran-owned prime contractor, with a focus on the Department of Veterans Affairs.
He leads the company with co-owner Chris Warburton, who brings more than 15 years of healthcare operations experience.
In the community
Evan is a father of four and a member of his local VFW post. He chairs the Veteran Advisory Committee at Lily Hospice, which keeps him close to veterans and families in metro Detroit and to what they need at the end of life.
