Service
Evan Shelline enlisted in the U.S. Navy after September 11, 2001. He went through BUD/S and served about a decade in the U.S. Navy, including about six years with the SEAL Teams on deployments around the world. He served with SEAL Team 4, including two combat deployments to Iraq. His awards include two Combat Action Ribbons, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and five Navy Achievement Medals.
After the Navy
After leaving the Navy, Evan led maritime security and counter-piracy operations. He directed more than 60 vessel protection operations, and none of them had a security incident.
That work depends on careful planning, clear roles, and people who do the small things right every time. It is the standard he built VETTED around.
Building VETTED
Evan founded VETTED to serve veterans in two ways. The company provides VA-authorized in-home care for veterans across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties, and it competes for federal contracts as a service-disabled veteran-owned prime contractor, with a focus on the Department of Veterans Affairs.
He leads the company with co-owner Chris Warburton, who brings more than 15 years of healthcare operations experience.

In the community
Evan is the founder of The Veteran Muster: All Present and Accounted For, a veteran-only gathering organized by VETTED in senior living communities across Southeast Michigan. Why Evan Mark Shelline founded the Muster, in his words.
Evan is a father of four and Senior Vice Commander of Sgt. Stanley F. Romanowski VFW Post 6896. He chairs the Veteran Advisory Committee at Lily Hospice, which held its first meeting on October 7, 2026. The role keeps him close to veterans and families in metro Detroit and to what they need at the end of life.
